Artwork / Pre-Press
Artwork can be proofed and approved via Fax, email, postal mail or in person. All new or amended label designs require art approval/sign-off before we proceed to production of the labels.
Required File Formats:
When supplying artwork we are able to accept files in the following formats:
From Vector Drawing Programs: Illustrator CS3 (fonts outlined and linked files attached)
If you do not have illustrator please provide a high resolution print ready pdf
(we have the ability to edit pdf files)
- Please supply all necessary links and fonts or convert all fonts to outlines.
- Please supply images as high resolution (minimum 300 dpi).
Colour Specifications:
If your artwork is to be printed in full colour (four colour process) please supply the file in CMYK. If using spot colours please specify the Pantone PMS colours.
Please supply a pdf file for visual proofing as objects and type can sometimes change appearance once opened with different software.
Please ensure that Text, Graphics or Logos to be printed wholly inside the label are a minimum of 2.5mm from the edge (to allow for some degree of cutting shift).
For images or artwork that bleed beyond the cut (die) line please allow a 2.5mm bleed.
For additional information on colour printing please see our colour printing page.
Art File Transfer:
Label Print Systems have an ftp site to allow transfer of large art files - please contact us to arrange for a log-in. File naming should be advised when ordering for ease of reference.
