Key Features & Benefits
Speed
With a print speed of 5” (127 mm) per second, high speed printing is one of the main features of the B-SV4 series. Fitted with a fast 32 bit RISC CPU for high throughput, it also has a large 2 MB DRAM image buffer to give a maximum print length of 609.6 mm (B-SV4D), 998.0 mm (B-SV4T), 1 MB Flash memory and up to 8 MB optional memory expansion for large data file storage.
Ease of use
Printhead, paper and sensor access is made simple by the 90° cover opening mechanism, ensuring easy media loading and cleaning. Additionally a movable label sensor supports most media configurations.
Reliability
The B-SV4 series have a robust double-walled cover design that protects the inner mechanisms against dust and external damage. Tool-less replacement of the printhead and a clip-in platen adds up to simple trouble-free aintenance. In addition to their competitive price, the B-SV4 series are equipped with a high quality long-life thermal head (25 km life time) which contributes to a lower total cost of ownership.
Easy connectivity
The B-SV4 series comes with a wide variety of interfaces as standard:
- RS232C (up to 56,000 bps)
- SPP Parallel port (Centronics)
- USB v1.1 port for fast data transfer
- An optional LAN adapter is available for LAN or WLAN connectivity.
Full compatibility
The B-SV4 series supports worldwide Dot-matrixand True Type fonts. It has an auto switching100-240V external AC adapter.
Using the Windows drivers or the inbuilt TOSHIBA TEC programming language (TPCL2 Lite) the B-SV4 series can work with formats designed for their industrial siblings.
Basic Command Interpreter
With a powerful Basic Language Interpreter, the BCI allows programs to manipulate incoming data to generate the correct labels. This allows the printer to be connected to existing legacy systems.
Compact
The B-SV4 series are small (SV4D: 200 mm x 232 mm, SV4T: 213 mm x 314 mm) and light (SV4D: 2 kg, SV4T: 2.8 kg excluding media & AC adapter) printers which can be installed immediately in any convenient place.
